Thank You and "Faster EFT" Question

Hi. I came across EFT about a month ago. Before I tried it, I wanted to research it and make sure it wasn't going to involve any New Age wackiness, so I want to thank you for the information that you've posted about it. In just the short time I've been using EFT, it's been amazing, and without your insight, I might've been too scared of it to try it (because there are a lot of weird--wrong--religious ideas promoted with it in some places). Anyway...thank you. :)

I've read through some of the posts on your blog, and I think you speak from a Christian background similar to mine, so I was wondering what your thoughts might be about another form of EFT I recently came across. It's referred to as "Faster EFT," and there are lots of videos on youtube that demonstrate it. It's really effective, but the guy who developed it is a big promoter of "The Secret" and all that stuff about the Law of Attraction. Also, it seems like where the regular EFT is more focused on the physical existence of the meridians where you tap, this other version is a little bit more focused on the impact a person's thoughts has on his/her body (though it still involves tapping). Thoughts definitely do affect us, and there's nothing in particular about the method that seems "bad"--but I just want to be so careful not to unwittingly stumble into something a Christian shouldn't be involved in. :)

Thanks so much.

The insider story. FasterEFT is based on powerful teaching of Jesus.

1. You will love your neighbor as you love yourself.

2 Learning to keep your inner thoughts in alignment with the Gods truth will shine kindness to the rest of the world.
3 Judge not others or you'll be judged,
4. make peace with your enemy,
5. what you fear becomes your master,
6 Your eyes are the lamp to your body, if you eyes are light your body is light, if your eyes are dark your body will be dark and how great that darkness is. Keep what you have within clean and clear.
7. What you focus on you will get-good or bad (Luke 6:37"Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.") 7 If your eyes cause you to stumble pluck it out-get rid of what you are looking at that make you to stumble, change what you hold within you.
8. Luke17:21 The kingdom of heaven in within your heart - Jesus
9. “And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in Heaven.” Matt 16:19 The real Secret is applying truth that really works. Forgiveness, walking the talk and being completely honest. God has not given you spirit of fear but a sound mind, fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, kindness and SELF CONTROL. Walking in the light is walking with God's truth. Tapping is a form of laying on of hands. No one know how they did it but I do know this works so they may have done it this way? John 4:21 God is spirit and those who worship God will worship in Spirit and in truth is my foundation of my life.

Hi Robert, Thanks for your comments. You're claiming in your reply here that Faster EFT is based on the teachings of Jesus, so are you saying that you're a 'born-again' believer? (or born anew in the ASV): Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (Joh 3:3 ASV)

I'm not going to reply to each point, but I do want to respond to a couple of the claims or quotes you show in your reply. The first one is where you claim that tapping is a form of laying on of hands. I have no problem with tapping, I'm an EFT practitioner after all; but I wouldn't say it's a form of laying on of hands. One doesn't even necessarily need that for healing, sometimes all Jesus did was give the word to heal, see John 4:47-53.

What I have been called to is the topic / ministry of spiritual warfare, and EFT is a tool that can be used in that arena. As far as I am concerned, TPM (mentioned in my original response on this thread) is far more relevant to spiritual warfare and those in the Christian faith than the (so-called) 'law of attraction' or the Secret, which is what you appear to espouse. I have an article about that (LOA) on this site -- so I won't re-hash most of that here, but basically I feel that whole teaching is a mixed bag. There are some valid points to it, but much of it is ungodly teaching that denies the need for salvation. I spent several years in the LOA camp, and while I still have things to learn, I can guarantee you that Jesus is the Good Shephard. (see John 10:1-5)

Lastly, from what I can gather it appears that you're in the camp of those who say that Jesus was a 'great teacher' but wasn't really the Son of God, we don't need a savior, etc. (please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). To respond to that belief I wanted to add this quote -- it is one of my favorites by C.S. Lewis:

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: 'I'm ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I don't accept His claim to be God.' That is the one thing we must not say. A man who was merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic – on a level with the man who says he is a poached egg – or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice. Either this man was, and is, the Son of God: or else a madman or something worse. You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come with any patronising nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to. (C.S. Lewis,Mere Christianity, pg. 52)

Any thoughts on changing one's sexuality to eliminate a fetish using EFT or faster EFT?
I'm not clear what you're asking. Is 'changing one's sexuality' the same as a sex-change operation? If so that's not related to EFT. However if you're talking about an emotional issue then EFT and possibly faster EFT would likely be helpful. You may want to start your own topic and see if anyone else has information that may help.

First of all, thanks for the thanks. It was (and still is) a step of faith. I did watch 2 or 3 of the 'Faster EFT' videos on Youtube a few months back when someone else asked me about it.  I used his tapping points a few times, but it didn't seem to me to be any more effective than the 'regular' EFT points, maybe a little bit less so.

I've heard from several places the idea that you can 'change your thoughts, change your life'; so if that's what he's saying then of course it is true, to a degree. I prefer the TPM (Theophostic Prayer Ministry) model, that says that 'the negative emotion is the bridge back to the belief' -- meaning if we believe God's truth; we should or would for the most part have the peace of Christ. I think getting to the belief is getting to the core of things. I think the two (EFT and TPM) have some similarities in that regard.

When you go with the 'change your thinking, change your life' path, then I think it ends up more in the category of all of the self-improvement tools and not so much something that can really help lead to more peace and freedom.

If that makes sense?
